  1. Should we outsource and will ACCUSTAT ® hire our staff?
We find that outsourcing in general provides the largest cost and time savings for customers. ACCUSTAT ®Transcription provides solutions to clients with or without an existing system. An ACCUSTAT ®sales consultant will gladly visit with you to ascertain what solution will maximize your transcription investment the most. ACCUSTAT ®will hire your staff to work with our company from home if they are qualified and meet our quality standards.

  2. How do we sign up for one of ACCUSTAT ®’s Digital solutions?
Signing up is very easy; simply contact an ACCUSTAT ® sales representative at 877-236-9881 or locally at 704-281-4639. An ACCUSTAT ® sales associate will ask you to complete a Business Associate Agreement and then arrange a set-up time and date.

  3. What does it cost to use ACCUSTAT ® for transcription?
This question is always better answered after we perform a detailed assessment of a practice’s individualized needs and volume prediction.  We can quickly say that most of our clients pay between 9-11 cents per line for transcription.

  4. Do we have to buy any equipment to get started?
If you choose to utilize ACCUSTAT ®’s digital call-in system, the only device needed is a touch-tone phone, a PC, and an Internet connection to get started. Digital Hand Held recorders and PDA’s require purchase of the digital recorder or PDA but that can be done independently or through ACCUSTAT ®.  There is no additional charge from ACCUSTAT ® no matter what form of dictation you use.

  5. When can we access ACCUSTAT ®’s digital system?
ACCUSTAT ® is available 24/7, 365 days a year. This means you can dictate patient records any time it is convenient for you – at the office, at home, or wherever. You have the freedom to work when you want and where you want.

  6. What’s the normal turnaround time for reports?
Reports are transcribed and delivered to your account within the TAT that you designate. If you have an urgent report, turnaround time can be quick as 1–3 hours.

  7. What if we have multiple locations?
No problem, ACCUSTAT ® can accommodate multiple locations as well as multiple physicians and administrators under one account. Our detailed billing system can break down line counts by physician, location, and date of report for accounting purposes.

  8. Who are your transcriptionists and where do you get them?
ACCUSTAT ® hires seasoned transcriptionists with specific background experience in the specialty for which they are assigned as well as multispecialty transcriptionists. Our training and education is on-going for our transcriptionists so they are always first in the field. ACCUSTAT ® regularly exceeds the American Healthcare Integrity Association (AHIMA) standards and routinely delivers reports exceeding 98% in overall accuracy. Our transcriptionists are all located within the United States.  Be careful when you see that a company says that they are simply U.S. based.  This can mean that they have an office in the U.S. but the operations are outside the U.S.; not ACCUSTAT ® we are 100% U.S. run, owned and operated.

  9. Is ACCUSTAT ®’s  ASP site HIPAA compliant?
At ACCUSTAT ® we understand that the medical record is our client’s most valued commodity and we treat it as such. Routine audits by our HIPAA compliance team guarantees that our employees respect your PHI just as a member of your own staff. Furthermore, we are in the process of introducing a completely new software platform that will put us way ahead of the competition in regards to privacy and security. For additional compliance questions feel free to contact us.

  10.   How do we receive our documents and/or edit them?
Your documents are ready to be viewed and printed via the online ASP at any time.  ACCUSTAT ® can also set up the completed transcription to download to your local computer, printer, or EMR system as soon as they are completed. Printing your documents is as easy as clicking on a print file tab within the viewer. Editing your documents is as easy as highlighting the patient name and clicking on the edit icon, make the changes and then click on the save icon. Changing patient demographics is as easy as clicking on the patient demographic button, make the changes and it then changes all patient demographics throughout the report. Your documents can be sorted by physician, patient name and/or by report type to further maximize the efficiency of your staff.

          11.  How does ACCUSTAT ® train a new client in their dictation and ASP system?   We will come to your facility to train your entire staff or, we will perform all training online.  The ASP system is so simple that we promise that you will understand everything within one hour of training at the most.  No matter what, ACCUSTAT ® does not mind coming back and performing additional trainings, just ask!   ACCUSTAT ® will also provide your team complete printed instructions to fall back on if needed.

         12.  Will I be tied to a long-term contract if I sign up for transcription with ACCUSTAT ®? No!  ACCUSTAT ®'s contract has a 90-day cancellation notice clause.  Beyond that, you can cancel your transcription for any reason.
